Program Abstract

This self-paced program uses existing Fire Police units as examples for demonstrating how an agency can set up a dedicated traffic incident management unit. No matter what this unit is named, the blueprint presented here for the duties and operations of a dedicated traffic incident management entity can be helpful in adding this vital piece of the roadway response puzzle to any agency. Users can obtain in-depth training on specific traffic incident management practices that would be carried out by this unit through other self-paced programs on the Responder Safety Learning Network.
