Program Abstract

Roadway emergency crossovers, particularly for highways, have consistently been hazardous for emergency responders using them to access incidents on the opposite side of the road. This module helps responders understand how to restrict the use of emergency crossovers to only essential situations, craft an SOP that sets clear criteria and procedures for emergency crossover use, follow recommended practices when using an emergency crossover, and implement training in emergency crossover use.
